BACKGROUND AND INSPIRATION

Stephanie Vuolo was born and raised in Malden, MA, attending Malden Public Schools before continuing her education at Bunker Hill Community College and Emmanuel College. Her professional career was marked by success in software sales, a role that took her across the United States and expanded her view of the nation.

From the young age of five, Stephanie spent summers in New Hampshire with her family at their cherished cottage on Crystal Lake in Gilmanton. She has fond memories of Alton Bay—roller skating at the Pavilion, enjoying ice cream, and spending time by the lake. In 2012, after her retirement, she and her husband Gerald Perna made Alton Bay their permanent home, embracing the close-knit community and stunning surroundings.

OUR COMMITMENT

Stephanie's political awakening came during the 2016 election when a local advocate knocked on her door. Inspired by the call to action, she became actively involved, supporting both local and national campaigns through canvassing, writing postcards, and phone banking. Now, in the face of right-wing extremism that threatens her district, Stephanie has decided to run for office herself. She is determined to bring balance, fairness, and compassion back to the New Hampshire State House.

My Priorities

1

Reproductive Rights

Stephanie believes healthcare is a basic right and that women should have control over their own bodies. She will fight to protect access to reproductive services in New Hampshire, including contraception, fertility care, and abortion. Stephanie also supports Planned Parenthood’s vital role in providing healthcare to thousands of Granite Staters.

2

Public Education

Stephanie is committed to strengthening New Hampshire’s public education system. She will advocate for a well-rounded curriculum, free from censorship or political interference. Stephanie opposes the diversion of public funds to private institutions and demands transparency in education spending.

3

LGBTQ+ Rights

Stephanie champions equality for all Granite Staters. She is dedicated to protecting the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, ensuring equal access to healthcare, housing, and employment. Stephanie will work to eliminate discrimination and create a state that embraces diversity and inclusion.
